A TRIBUTE TO THE FAT FURBALL

Gengen, formerly known as Bobo [before he lived with Esther & Elaynie], was a fat and happy guinea pig. He age is unknown, though we know he has been passed down to 4 different set of owners. He first came into our lives on March 11th 2005, when Esther & I were expecting to get a 'hamster' from our senior Vivian, who was going back to PMC. Our hamster...turned out to be...a pig.

We named GenGen after our beloved gay best friend - Yee Gen, as he was going back to PMC too. GenGen's gender was always an issue to everyone around...we were quite sure those were indeed testicles. But some said those were but buttocks. Up til the day he moved in with his 4th, and last owner, Cynthia, GenGen was a HE. After that, he became a SHE.

He Loves - eating plastic, paper catalogues, my leftover veggies, cardboard boxes and even paint. He enjoys bathing in our sink and the hairdrying moments after. He purs when you play with him...and he finds peace walking in the house aimlessly - and eating my lecture notes at the same time.

GenGen is probably the only guinea pig who has to be put on diet for being too fat. Occassionally, Elaynie would throw food in his cage when esther is not looking. This is probably the main reason why GenGen never lost any weight.

And so...everybody loves GenGen! Since 36 Clarendon Hall is the CAPITAL of events...GenGen was its star!

GenGen passed away peacefully on December 12th 2006. He was being buried by our lovely friend, Steven, next to the canal on the night itself, a hole dug using a spoon.

May GenGen rest in peace.
